On this trip we will show you Mt. Elbrus from different
sides, so you will get a good impression of both the beauty and
dimensions of Europe's highest peak. You should be a good biker
and should be able to ride 5 to 7 hours a day. If you are

Itinerary
Day 1 Flight to Mineralny Vody. Bus
transfer to Kislovodsk, one of the oldest health resorts in
Russia with mineral springs (64 km from the airport). Kislovodsk
is located at the foot of the Central Caucasus at the height of
app. 800 m. Hotel accommodation. Dinner.
Day 2 The first day of riding. We prepare our bikes and
begin a fantastic mountain bike adventure around Elbrus. After
12 km asphalt road and 30 km mountain road riding along mountain
slopes we set up the camp near a local village and enjoy our
first camping. Mt. Elbrus is 100 km far but seems very close.
Day 3 52 km biking on rough mountain road along the
Betchasyn Plateau. Camping in the Dzhyly-Su ravine (2400 m) near
hot mineral springs at the foot of Mt. Elbrus.
Day 4 35 km biking up and down to the Shuakam Pass (2925
m). Overnight in tents.
Day 5 35 km bike tour in the Baksan Valley. Camping near
the mountain town Tyrnaus.
Day 6 45 km biking on asphalt road to Terskol in the
Baksan Valley. Hotel accommodation.
Day 7 Rest and preparation for crossing the Khotju-Tau
Pass (3549 m). Tents, sleeping bags and all other equipment will
be transported on a truck car to the Ullu-Kam Valley.
Day 8 Cable car to the "Mir" station, 3500 m. 6-7 hours
ascent to the Khotju-Tou Pass (3549 m) and descent to the
Ullu-Kam Valley. You need warm clothes, trekking shoes and
crampons. Overnight in tents.
Day 9 Rest day.
Day 10 38 km biking to the Khurzuck village in the
Ullu-Kam Valley.
Day 11 55 km biking to Karachaevsk on asphalt road.
Camping.
Day 12 80 km asphalt road race to Dombay via
Nationalpark, the most beautiful mountain region on the West
Caucasus, 1700 m above sea level. Hotel accommodation.
Day 13 Free time for walking in the Dombay Valley,
surrounded by spectacular snow-capped mountains and lush green
forests. Hotel accommodation.Free time for walking in the Dombay

Day 14 180 km bus transfer Dombay - Kislovodsk. Hotel
accommodation. Farewell dinner.
Day 15 Transfer to the airport Mineralny Vody. Departure
home.
