Rafting on Big Laba River / 8 days

The great choice for the real extreme keeners. Beautiful itinerary with breathtaking landscapeof the trekking part and powerful rapids on the river(3-5 class). The river is rather volume one. Along almost the whole rout it flows on the bottom of deep canyon. The wild dark forest on its steep slopes is frequently cutted by the numerose waterfalls of the tributary streems.

Period: July-September
Standard Duration: 8 days

Day 1 Transfer from the Rostov airport to the Arhiz village wellknown mountain recreational place, border control and rescue registration. Overnight in the tents.
Day 2 Start of the trekking part. Ascent up to the Phiya mountain pass (2014 m), ferry of the alpine field zone, enjoyning the magnifisent mountain landscapes, foto and film making.(realy it worth to do it). Descent to the upper forrest borger(line). Tents camp.
Day 3 Descent via the forrest path above the Phiya River Canyon to the base camp of the rafting start near the Phiya village. The rest and preparing to the river part of the rout. Camp faer overnight
Day 4 Safety tolk and boat teams forming. Start of the rafting. Crew work drills. Passing simple Zagedan Rapids Cascade (class 2+). Overnight on the wooded river bank before the Pine Canyon.
Day 5 start of the hard part of the rafting. Passing the the Pine Canyon rapids (grade -4, portage of the "Good Buy, Motherland!" Rapid) Passing the Maliy Blip Canyon (grade -4). Scouting the rapids. Foto and film making. The base camp before the Salted Rocks Canyon.
Day 6 Rafting down or portage of the Salted Rocks Canyon (depending on the water level, grade - 5) Real hard place. The Surprice Canyon rafting (grade-3-4) Tents Camping after the Canyon.
Day 7 40 kilomiters of the river Marathon. Fast flowing river with the mostly none complicated rapids braking on the numerouse passes will bring us to the finish of the rout - Kurdjinovo village.
Day 8 Transfer to the Rostov Airport. Flight back.
